- Leave Categories
- This is where leave types are created. A type of leave cannot be used before it is created.
- After creation the leave is available for further definition under Profiles
- Default Leave Profile
- This is the building block of a company's leave policy. The default leave profile will contain the information regarding the types of leave which employees may attract and the standard amount of leave a normal employee is eligible for.
- Variations of entitlement are available under the default where entitlement differs on length off service, so an employee may receive a particular entitlement for a fixed length of service, then be eligible for a higher entitlement after that. The system allows these entitlement brackets to be calculated under the one leave category.
- The default profile is then used as a basis for other leave profiles, where employees may have different entitlements unrelated to the default profile.
- Other Leave Profiles
- If a company needs to provide for different entitlement levels from the default leave profile, separate profiles can be created to provide as many variations as required. after creating a new profile, it will inherit the details contained in the default profile, and the amounts and terms can then be edited.
