The Calendar displays both approved and pending leave for the month selected.  There are two Calendar views set up by default.  The HR Manager can create further views to satisfy internal requirements.  Calendars can also be filtered to include:

  1. Selected employees.  The default view will display the logged in user's calendar.  There are two extra default viewing scenarios: Employees and Managers.  An employee view will only display the employee's own leave.  A manager view will show the manager and the manager's subordinates' leave status.  From the dropdown menu, a user who is permitted to see other groups can selected them.
  2. Leave Category  The default view is to show all leave categories on the calendar.  By selecting a leave type in the menu box it is possible to select one or multiple leave types and these will then replace the default display on the calendar.
  3. Additional Country.  The calendar will display public holidays for the country in which the user is employed.  It is possible to select further countries from the drop down menu to display those holidays along with the default country.

Important!  After changing search criteria, the <Search> button must be clicked to refresh the calendar display.

Calendars can also be uploaded to smart phones and tablets, any system that supports the iCal format.  First of all select the calendar view that you wish to communicate with your PDA device and then click Synchronise with your Calendar Follow the instructions in the User Manual to finalise your subscription.
